The fastest growing seller was Simple Modern, a classic case of private labeling. They only have 6 products in stock, but all of those products are their own brand and thus they are able to avoid competition from other sellers.
Plant Guru has a great story. Plant Guru is run by Axel Roma who started selling essential oils products out of his home, bottling and selling himself. Soon after he launched on Amazon and his business took off - 75% growth in June alone. Plant Guru now employs 26 people and utilizes a 6,000 square foot warehouse.
Many summer-focused sellers have been waiting patiently during the colder months, but now that the summer is in full swing they are able to sell a lot of products. Sellers like In The Swim Pool Supplies and many more are owning their niche.
However a lot of retailers we featured previously had lost the momentum and saw a big decrease in sales. For example Pure Body Naturals who had great growth in March but decreased by -46% in June. Or Epic Business Services Online, also selling Health & Beauty products, decreased by -45% this month.
It’s interesting that over the past few months we saw a lot fast growing health & beauty and smartphone cases sellers, just to see them shrink a few months later. Launching private labeling brands has become easier and many new retailers are joining the marketplace every day - however continuing sales long term is still a challenge.
